Hello! Ni Hao! I’m Lorna and I’m happy to be joining Snowflake Books as the Education Events Organiser.
In other bits of my life, I’m a Storyteller and an English Teacher in Oxford, England. I’ve also lived in Hangzhou, in China where I taught English to children. It was a lot of fun and that’s where I first came to love all the beautiful traditional Chinese patterns and designs. I have a lot of things from China decorating my house.
When I was a child, I loved stories and either wanted to be a dentist or have my own dragon one day. Now I’m grown up and working for Snowflake Books I am surrounded by magical stories and beautiful dragons every day. It’s a dream come true! (Apart from the dentist part).
I’m also a Rat. Well, I was born in the year of the Rat (or the Mouse) which means that I am quick-witted and active. I certainly do like to move quickly! I think a lot and like to wrap my brain around a challenge. A bored rat is an unhappy rat, so I like to be busy as much as possible.
