We sang the New Year song in Chinese with the children and shared the story of the New Year Beast. Every child was given a lucky red envelope and we all made lots of noise and danced with the Dragon to drive away the New Year Beast.

As well as English readings, children had opportuities to practise some Mandarin and to listen to a story in Mandarin; some children even managed to read a story in Mandarin themselves. We were glad to see that children love the stories very much and they were happy to learn some Mandarin too.
